Why is Physical Education Important?
Physical Education is important because it provides physical fitness, skill development, self discipline, sets goals for ourselves, and it improves student’s judgments. Physical Education also benefits children by teaching them motor skills of balance, running, throwing, and walking. Lastly, physical education is important because what the students learned in the classroom they can use it outside of school and stay active outside of school and live a healthy lifestyle instead of staying behind a computer or playing video games.

Physical Education for PK- 1st Grades: Students will complete a variety of locomotor skills. I will demonstrate the locomotor so students can visualize the locomotor skill. After completing the locomotor skills the students will complete a fitness workout. We will try to incorporate equipment and game like activities while keeping social distancing.We will work on general space around the gym. After that we will work on sport skills and drills.
EX: Walking, Running, Skipping, Hopping, ETC.
Physical Education for Grades 2-3: Students will complete a muscular endurance workout, muscular strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular exercise. We will try to incorporate equipment and game like activities while keeping social distancing. We will work on sport games, skills, drills, and sportsmanship. We will also work team strategies and team like settings.
Physical Education for Grades 4-8: Students Will complete workout exercises Muscular strength, Muscular Endurance, Flexibility, Cardiovascular exercises. EX Mountain climbers, high knees, shoulder taps, ETC. We will work on sport games, skills, drills, and sportsmanship. We will also work team strategies and team like settings
Before we start our class, we will warm up to activate the muscles. Each warm up consists of pushups, jumping jacks, situps, highknees, butt kicks. For Grades Kindergarden through first grade, warmups will involve jumping jacks, hopping, running, toe touches
